Danny Stieben is a senior at the University of North Texas who plans to major in Computer Science and minor in Business and German. He would like to become a software programmer or video game developer after he is done with his studies. He is also a newsletter editor and contributing writer at MakeUseOf, one of the best places to work on the Web.
His fascination for computers began very early on when he was just five years old. More recently, he has generated a high interest in Linux since he began experimenting with it in 2008. He actively promotes free and open source software as well as Linux at every opportunity, and is even registered as a contributor for the Fedora Project. All of this has influenced his major as well as his entry into freelance writing. He enjoys writing heavily on various Linux topics to share the joy of using the open operating system.
Born in Germany, he resides in Denton, Texas. After his university studies, he's open to seeing what the world has to offer. He is a proud trilingual who strives to eventually complete a Master's degree.
Danny is always interested in new opportunities in the software industry and tech-related freelance writing positions. If you would like, you may contact him through email.
