Danny Stieben is a junior at the University of North Texas who plans to major in Computer Science and become a software programmer. He is also a contributing writer at MakeUseOf, one of the best places to work on the Web.

His fascination for computers began very early on when he was just five years old. More recently, he has generated a high interest in Linux. He actively promotes free and open source software as well as Linux at every opportunity, and is even registered as a contributor for the Fedora Project. All of this has influenced his major as well as his entry into freelance writing.

Born in Germany, he will soon reside in his dorm in Denton, Texas. He is a proud trilingual who strives to eventually complete a Ph.D.
